Why should I pay $25 to join Idaho Photographic Workshop, Inc.?
A quick look at how we came about should give you an idea of who we are as a group, and how you might fit in. We incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 1987 with the following purpose:
“To cultivate an atmosphere for exchange, learning, and creative expansion in the area of photography, and to provide educational opportunities in photography and related fine art forms in the State of Idaho.”
- Your dues give you the opportunity to:
- Join other photographers for informative monthly meetings with topics of interest and learning
- Most meetings have “Tips in Ten” that features ten quick helpful tips on some aspect of photography
- Participate in gallery exhibits, open and juried shows
- Meet others with like interests
- Share ideas with fellow enthusiasts through our forums and meetings
- Submit your items for sale, member links to your website, educational announcements and more
- Take advantage of discounts for members only (training, products, workshops)
- Share your knowledge by giving a workshop to others, and earn a few bucks while doing so

You could also join the board and become even more a part of the planning and direction of the group. I recently became Treasurer, and find it a great way to get to know others in the organization, and a way to give back for all the knowledge and help that is shared. Duties as Treasurer are mainly to handle and report financial transactions of the organization, keep the membership list current, and correspondence as necessary.
